Description

Our Chess Intermediate I-II course advances students' chess skills and strategies, covering advanced tactics, strategic planning, and positional play. Students are divided into subgroups based on skill level for personalized instruction. Key Skills Covered: * Phases of a chess game: opening, middlegame, and endgame * Advanced tactics: pins, forks, skewers, double attacks, and deflection * Pawn structure and piece development * Checkmating patterns and defenses * Castling, en passant, and pawn promotion * Learning famous openings and their middlegame plans * Positional play: controlling key squares and open files * Endgame techniques: opposition, zugzwang, and critical squares * Game analysis and notation * Studying famous chess matches Classes include board demonstrations, practical interactions, and match play under instructor guidance. Students are invited to participate in chess tournaments for competitive experience. Prerequisites: Familiarity with basic chess moves and rules, including check, stalemate, and checkmate.
